Plants doing poorly

The weather is unsettled, now it's cold again with on and off rain. I went to home depot and all the nursery plants looked sickly and unhealthy this year.

I just bought a compost bin from an ad on this site

I saw a compost bin that was my dream bin. It was not like the Earthmachine with too many segmented pieces. But, it looks round like the Earthmachine. I am going to make one of them into a Dalek.

It was hot today

I noticed a lot of plants in my garden getting ready to bloom. The lily of the valley is over now. The seeds I planted just won't grow big and they are staying tiny. I am not getting much in the way of edible crops in my vegetable bins.

I went to a garden show in Sacramento

It was cold not hot, I had a big black rain coat which I never even took off. Maybe this strange weather means we can get a cooler day to attend the State Fair at Cal Expo. I am really into garden, but it's the art displays and not the garden displays that are interesting at the State Fair. You know when they set them up they stick in a few plants in pots and cover them with mulch. It's not satisfying like seeing a real garden. The Royal Botanical Gardens in the UK are amazing.

Windy today

The sun was off, but it was kind of harsh with the wind. I am not getting the results I wanted in the garden and the plants in the nursery look sickly as well. This is not a good year for San Francisco Gardening.

We had hail again

The weather is really messed. We had hail and it's too late in the season for hail and this much cold. The hail was around 920am.

Its been really cold

My tomatoes seeds won't sprout, I moved them indoors, when I planted them, we were warm, ten days ago. I got the basil to sprout. Seed germination is a reflection on the soil temperature. I am still not getting any sprouts from those tomato seeds. I tell them to grow each time I walk past them.
